FRANCIS KERE: 2022 PRITZKER LAUREATE

Diébédo Francis Kéré (Burkina Faso and Germany) is the 2022 Pritzker Architecture Prize Laureate. Last year, Francis Kéré was named 2021 winner of the UIA Robert Matthew Prize for Sustainable & Humane Environments and he received an Honourable Mention in 2011 for the UIA Vassilis Sgoutas Prize for Implemented Architecture Serving the Impoverished. Francis Kéré studied at the Technical University of Berlin, when he established the Kéré Foundation. In 2005, he founded KéréArchitecture, which has since been recognised nationally and internationally with awards, including the Aga Khan Award for Architecture (2004) and the Global Holcim Award 2012 Gold. Kéré has held professorships at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Yale School of Architecture, the Swiss Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio and TU München.
