Congratulation on the occasion of the World Architecture Day, 03.10.2022 from the Vice President of the International Union of Architects for Region II Istelianna Necho Atanasova
Dear Fellow Architects and Friends of Architecture,
The theme of the World Architecture Day on 3 October 2022, announced by the UIA is
"Architecture for wellbeing"
The UIA's aim is to highlight at this day how architects can contribute to the physical, emotional, financial and social wellbeing of humanity, while at the same time making a positive impact on the environment.
I am honored to be the UIA Vice President for Region II of the International Union of Architects - the organization's most diverse and multifaceted region. This complex and diverse region teaches us tolerance and respect for differences, it shows us the power of architecture to unite and achieve peace and understanding.
The past year was very difficult for the whole world and especially for the countries from Region II. We are going through a very difficult period but we have not given up our goals, we have not become evil and filled with malice and rage. The noble mission of architecture is to unite, to reduce differences, to create partnerships and friendships, to build and not destroy.
On behalf of the governance of the International Union of Architects, I want to thank all of you for your goodwill, professionalism and tolerance. Perhaps some thought that Region II would disintegrate, that it would not overcome the crisis, some secretly renounced the friendship built over the years - but most of you showed will and strength, showed sincerity to the other countries from the region. Because most of you believe that together we are stronger and can do more.
Dear Colleagues, dear friends and Partners,
We sincerely thank you for your support, understanding and goodwill!
I congratulate all of you on the World Architecture Day!
On behalf of UIA and on my own behalf, I wish you strength for victory, health, peace and a lot of creativity!
Architect Istelianna Atanassova
